MOODSWINGS babushka by ~polpolina is a set of wooden dolls painted with acrylics in the style of Russian matryoshki but with the theme of extreme emotions and bizarre expressions rather than the more familiar peasant themes. Be sure to click on fullview to take in all the faces' wonderful details! Step into her gallery and brace yourself for the wide array of yet more of the wonderfully strange and unusual. OOOooohhhhhh this is brilliant, i love the use of grey to add more depth to the expressions (rather that just using straight black and white).

It's like you put out for all to see the feelings people have inside, layer by layer. The smallest is the most deep inside, the one that makes us do stupid things. In philosophy the teacher called it our 'shadow', the bad feelings we accumulate everyday that makes us do things we don't understand the reason why if we're not aware of and undertand this shadow.. lol sorry, I'm in my philo final essay up to my ears right now XD but anyway, this is a really cool work :D

It's the evil twin of the seven deadly sins. The 5 deadly emotional states ;p .
